Welcome to Oceania Appliances. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of oceaniaappliances.com.au and all services provided by Oceania Appliances Pty Ltd. By accessing our site or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Product Condition & Representation

Refurbished Status: We specialize in professionally refurbished household appliances. Unless explicitly labeled "New," all items are pre-owned and have undergone a multi-point mechanical inspection and professional sanitization.

Cosmetic Condition: Due to the nature of refurbished goods, minor cosmetic imperfections (scratches, small dents) may be present. These do not affect functionality and are not considered "faults."

Images: Photos represent the model and condition. Because each refurbished unit is unique, slight variations in cosmetic appearance may exist between the photo and the delivered unit.
2. Orders & Acceptance

Availability: Most items are unique units. We reserve the right to cancel an order and issue a full refund if a product becomes unavailable or fails a final quality-control check prior to dispatch.

8 PM Cutoff: For orders placed before 8:00 PM AEST, we will contact you the same day to confirm a delivery window. Orders placed after 8:00 PM will be processed the following day.
3. Pricing & Payment

Currency: All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

Payment Security: We use secure third-party processors (Shopify Payments/Stripe). Title of the goods passes to you only once full payment is received and the item is delivered.
4. Shipping & Delivery (Sydney Metro)

Service Area: We primarily serve the Sydney Metropolitan area. Delivery outside this area is subject to additional fees or cancellation.

Timing: We aim for next-day delivery for orders confirmed by 8 PM. If we are fully booked, we will coordinate the next available date that suits you.

Multi-Floor Policy:

Standard delivery is to the ground floor/front door.

Complimentary service to the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floor is provided only if the customer is physically available to assist the driver.

If no assistance is available for stairs, or if access is deemed unsafe, the driver will leave the item at the ground floor or a re-delivery fee may apply for a two-man service.

5. Warranty & Returns

3-Month Warranty: All appliances include a 3-month functional warranty from the date of purchase.

Scope: This covers mechanical and electrical failures under normal domestic use.

Strict Exclusion: The warranty is strictly voided by physical damage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs/modifications made after delivery.

No Change of Mind: We do not offer returns or refunds for "change of mind" or incorrect sizing. Please measure your space carefully before ordering.

Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure.
6. Limitation of Liability
Oceania Appliances is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including:

Food Loss: No responsibility is taken for spoiled food due to fridge/freezer failure.

Water Damage: No responsibility is taken for property damage caused by appliance leaks (e.g., washing machines).

Total Liability: Our maximum liability is limited to the total price paid for the product.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
