At Oceania Appliances, we’ve sold over 8,000 units across Sydney because we stand behind what we sell. We know that buying refurbished can feel like a risk, so we’ve made our warranty straightforward and honest.
Our Promise: We are human and electronics can be unpredictable. If it works at our warehouse but acts up at your home, we won’t leave you stranded—we will sort it out.
1. Standard 3-Month Warranty
Every appliance comes with a 3-Month Functional Warranty starting from the day of purchase.

What’s Covered: The "heart" of the machine. We guarantee your fridge will cool, and your washer will wash and spin. It covers defects that arise under normal household use.

What’s Not Covered: Cosmetic marks (scratches/dents), issues caused by electrical surges, or physical damage.

The "Overloading" Rule: Specifically for washers, please do not overload the drum. Overloading is the leading cause of broken bearings, which often makes the machine impossible to fix. Damage from overloading is not covered.
2. 12-Month Extended Warranty
For total peace of mind, we offer an upgrade to a 12-Month Extended Warranty.

Timing: This can only be added at the time of purchase.

Pricing: The cost of the extension ranges from $170 to $400, depending on the specific product. Please speak with our team during your purchase to discuss the rate for your item.
3. How We Handle Claims (The Process)
If your appliance develops a fault, don't worry. We follow a fair 3-step resolution process:

Step 1: Repair. Our first priority is to fix it. We aim to diagnose and repair the unit within a maximum of 2 weeks. Repairs under warranty are free of charge.

Step 2: Replacement. If we can’t fix it within 2 weeks, we will provide a replacement unit of similar type and value. It might be a different brand, but the specs will be equivalent.

Step 3: Refund. If a repair is impossible and we don't have a suitable replacement, we will issue a full refund as a last resort.
4. Important Limitations

Ground Floor Only: Because we do not charge delivery fees, our service is strictly ground floor. If you move the item upstairs, the warranty is voided for any physical damage incurred during that move.

Food & Indirect Loss: Our liability is limited to the appliance. We do not cover the cost of lost food, water damage to floors, or general inconvenience.

No DIY Repairs: Any attempt to repair the machine yourself or through an unapproved technician will void your warranty.
5. How to Lodge a Claim
If you find a fault anytime within your warranty period, please:

WhatsApp Us (Fastest): Message us at 0422 489 492 with a brief description. Please use WhatsApp instead of email to ensure we see your message immediately.

Provide Evidence: Send a photo of your invoice and a quick video or photo showing the fault.

The Fix: We will review the info and quickly schedule a technician or an inspection.
⚖️ Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
This policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We fully comply with ACL guarantees to ensure you receive a product that is fit for purpose and of acceptable quality.
