🚚 Oceania Appliances Shipping Policy & Terms of Service

At Oceania Appliances (Sydney), we focus on providing a fast, honest, and local experience. We aim for total transparency in everything we do—our goal is to provide a great deal, not to rip you off.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms:


1. Delivery Area & Fees

  • ✅ Sydney Metropolitan Area: We offer Free Delivery to all addresses within the Sydney Metro region.
  • ❌ Regional & Interstate: We currently do not deliver to regional NSW or interstate. Orders placed outside the Sydney Metro area cannot be fulfilled.

2. Speed & Scheduling

  • Fast Turnaround: Orders placed before 5:00 PM typically qualify for same-day or next-day delivery.
  • Delivery Windows: Deliveries are conducted in two slots: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Timing & Accuracy: We aim for perfection, but we cannot guarantee an exact, specific arrival time. Factors like heavy traffic, weather, or mechanical issues can cause delays.
  • Honesty & Delays: We want to be transparent—if a driver hasn't arrived by the end of your window, it is likely due to a previous customer delay or an unforeseen incident. We aren't perfect, but we try our best and will get to you as soon as possible.
  • Hold for Later: If you aren’t ready for the appliance yet, let us know! We will securely hold your items and schedule a future delivery date.

3. Our Transparency & Return Policy

  • Know What You’re Buying: To be 100% transparent, we provide photos of the actual unit you are buying. Please inspect them carefully for any cosmetic dings, scratches, missing shelves (fridges), or gasket condition (washers) before purchasing.
  • ⚠️ No Returns for Sizing: Please measure your space and doorways carefully. We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect sizing. All sales are final once delivered.

4. Safety, Stairs & Site Requirements

Because we do not charge delivery fees, our delivery service has strict physical limitations:

  • Ground Floor Only: Our free delivery service is strictly ground floor only (e.g., driveway, porch, or garage).
  • Stairs & Assistance: Drivers operate solo and are not obliged to move items upstairs. If a driver agrees to help you take an item upstairs, they are doing so out of their own goodwill. You must provide capable physical assistance to the driver.
  • Right to Refuse: If the driver deems the stairs unsafe, or if adequate assistance is not provided, they have the right to refuse the lift and will leave the delivery in a safe space on the ground floor.
  • Liability & Warranty: If a driver assists with stairs, any scratches or physical damage that occurs is strictly between you and the driver. Additionally, your warranty is voided specifically for any physical damage incurred during transit above the ground floor.
  • Attendance & Redelivery: An adult must be present to receive the item. If a delivery is missed after a 10–15 minute wait, a $100 redelivery fee applies.

5. Faulty Goods

If your appliance is defective, contact us immediately. We aim to assess claims within 24–72 hours. As per our Warranty Policy, our priority is repair or replacement; refunds are issued only as a last resort.
